The student will have to complete each phase successfully in the allotted time to advance to the next phase.
PHASE 1 to 3: Duration 12 weeks
PHASE 1
This phase introduces the student to the aviation world. The student should receive a very positive outlook about the experiences of flying, while appreciating the considerable personal effort required to complete the training course.
- The student will complete basic flight instruction lessons leading up to circuit practice. Included in this objective is to establish a good foundation to understand basic aircraft attitudes, human factors awareness and flight safety.
- Completion of all the mandatory pre-solo requirements within the allotted time.
- Successful completion of the student`s first solo flight and subsequent solo circuit practice within the allotted time.
PHASE 2
- Review and development of proficiency in exercises already covered in Phase 1.
- Completion of the advanced exercises.
- Dual cross-country and recommendation to complete the solo cross country requirement.
- Successful completion of the Private Pilot written exam.

PHASE 3
At phase 3, the student shall demonstrate at least the knowledge, skills and proficiency outlined in the Transport Canada (TC) Private Pilot Flight Test Standards and Guide.
- Private Pilot review and simulated fight test achieved within the allotted time.
- Successful completion of the Transport Canada Private Pilot flight test.

PHASE 4A
The student should develop a solid understanding of Human Factors and how they affect a pilot’s performance. This meansmanaging acceptable risks by being aware of their presence and taking effective action to defend against them.
- The student must successfully complete a Night Phase Performance Evaluation.
- The student shall develop and exceed the Commercial Pilot instrument standards for instrument flying exercises,which are essential skills for night flying.
- This phase will also give you the opportunity to practice the skills learned in phases 1 – 3.

PHASE 4B
- Completion of the VFR navigation progress test.The cross country report / assignment must be submitted and a 70% passingmark is required to progress to the next training phase.
- Build-up of pilot-in-command (PIC) cross-country experience.
- Completion of the 300 nm commercial cross-country requirement.
- The student will be introduced to tailwheel as well as upset/emergency maneuvering in the Citabria.
PHASE 5
- Successful completion of the commercial pilot flight test.

Flight Instruction – Phase 4A, 4B & 5Hours Instruction in a Cessna 172 (Dual) 24.4 Solo practice in a Cessna 17248.9 Instruction in the Citabria (Dual)3.9 Total flying hours 77.2 PHASE 6A to 6C: Duration 14 weeks
PHASE 6A
Phase 6A is the multi-engine training stage in a Piper Seminole. The student will have to successfully complete a multi-engine flight test to progress to the next training phase.
PHASE 6B
During this phase, the student will be training for the instrument rating (IFR). He will have to complete the required lessons in the ATC-810 simulator, complete the required ground school,and pass the IFR written exam.
PHASE 6C
This is the final phase for the instrument rating which will include more ATC-810 simulator training followed by IFR training in our Piper Seminole.
The student will then be required to pass the instrument flight test.

18.0 Total flying hours 45.8PHASE 7B: Duration 2 weeks
PHASE 7B (Beech King Air 200 training)
The goal of the Beech 200 FTD portion of Phase 7B is to give the students a good familiarity with turbo prop aircraft operations, avionics and automatic flight control systems. The focus will be more on Crew Resource Management (CRM) skill development and less on the Beech 200 technical knowledge.
The Beech 200 ground school covers aircraft system basic knowledge, normal Beech 200 flight operation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP`s). Although all normal SOP`s are to becovered completely, emergency SOP`s are limited to only those that willbe covered during the FTD training sessions. The objective is to avoid over loading the students, get them as familiar with the FTD as possible, and highlight the CRM issues.
