5 Killed In Russian Cargo Plane Crash
Russia cargo plane crash: The plane suffered an engine malfunction while on a training flight, the report quoted the Defence ministry as saying.
June 24, 2022 (Reuters) - An Ilyushin Il-76 military cargo plane crashed and caught fire while landing near Russia's western city of Ryazan on Friday, killing four of the nine people on board, the RIA news agency reported, citing local authorities.
The four-engine Il-76 was designed in the 1970s and has served as the main heavylift cargo plane for the Soviet and Russian air force. It has also been widely used by many countries around the world.
