استجابت مكافحة الاطفاء لمكالمة بخصوص تحطم طائرة في مطار خليج تامبا في حوالي الساعة 3:09 مساءً يوم الجمعة ، 16 ديسمبر. حيث أقلعت الطائرة في الساعة 2:31 مساءً من أورلاندو بولاية فلوريدا وكانت في طريقها إلى بروكسفيل بولاية فلوريدا. انحرفت الطائرة عن المدرج 927 وانقلبت في حفرة في تاكسي واي A-5. كان هناك شحص واحد مصاب بجروح طفيفة ورفض نقله إلى المستشفى وتمت معالجة في موقع الحادث.

Hernando County Fire Rescue responded to a call regarding a plane crash at the Brooksville-Tampa Bay Reginal Airport around 3:09pm on Friday, December 16th. The plane took off at 2:31pm from Orlando, FL and was traveling to Brooksville, FL. The plane veered off runway 927 and flipped into a ditch on Taxiway A-5. One patient with minor injuries was treated and refused transport to the hospital.
The airport status is currently closed and is expected to reopen later in the day.
