Narrative:
The pilot lost control of the aircraft for unknown reasons and the plane impacted the ground before it caught fire, killing the 2 of the occupants trapped in the cabin, 2 others were ejected and also died. The accident happened just a few kilometers north of the runways at Millau-Larzac aerodrome between the Millau viaduct and La Cavalerie just before 13:00 LT.
A witness present on the spot alerted the emergency services.

The Angoulême flying club was in shock. One of the victims was a young Charentais, 15 years old, who would shortly pass his aeronautical initiation certificate. This flight, as a passenger over the Millau viaduct, was a gift offered by the club.
Among the other victims, a Vendean pilot and his father, 73 years old and a pilot from the Paris region. Both pilots were experienced.

The plane come from Angoulême via Gaillac accompanied by another aeroclub plane. On The Causse du Larzac was blowing a very violent wind (Storm Dennis). Weather conditions could be the cause of the accident.
