SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- WSPA chief meteorologist Christy Henderson was on a plane that crashed Wednesday morning in the Moore area, but both she and her flight instructor are OK.

WSPA News Channel 7 said the plane developed engine trouble during a flight with Henderson at the controls and they were forced to make an emergency landing.
The plane went down in a field off Highway 290 and Waste Road. The instructor took control of the plane when the problem happened and landed the aircraft.
The plane flipped over before coming to a stop, according to Henderson's husband, about a mile away from R.D. Anderson Applied Technology Center. Henderson and the flight instructor were able to get out of the plane and appeared to be all right.
She has spoken with managers at News Channel 7 after the crash. Henderson was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure.
News Channel 7's Air7 pilot, B.J. Patterson, told us that as far as emergency landings go, this one was a job well done.
The landing was "executed without undue hazards to persons or property on the ground," Patterson said, which is the bottom line in a situation such as this.
The FAA is expected to report to the crash site on Wednesday to investigate the incident and its cause.
The instructor is at the scene waiting for FAA officials to give them her statement.
The Poplar Springs Fire Department responded to the scene.
