It is very unlikely to forget the landing gear down especially on large airplanes with airline pilots... but, if this happens, it will be extra noisey and the aircfraft climb performance is much less .
If the spped becomes higher than allowed for landing gear retraction, then speed must be reduced to that allowable.
On large airplanes, with the gear down, the doors are closed. When the gear is retracted, the doors open then the gears retract then the doors close. It is a normal sequance and the same for gear extension..
If two pilots in a large airplane forget thae gear down for a long time and can not notice that, then after landing should return their license, go home and do something elst but not fly again..
