Airbus to start final assembly of the ANA's first A380

Toulouse - The final assembly of the first A380 for the Japanese airline operator All Nippon Airways (ANA) will begin next month for delivery early in 2019, announced Airbus on March 19.

The sections of the first A380 of the Japanese carrier arrived at the Airbus final assembly line in Toulouse comprising six parts: the nose, the central fuselage, the rear fuselage, the empennage and the two wings.

Honolulu line. ANA has selected for its A380 fleet a special livery representing Hawaii's green sea turtle Honu, a symbol of luck and prosperity.
ANA will become the first Japanese operator of the A380. The low-cost Skymark Airlines should have become the first operator of the A380 in Japan. But Airbus canceled the order for six copies in 2014 due to the airline's insolvency.

Ana's A380s will be powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 900 engines. The aircraft might be configured from 500 to 600 seats.
According to Airbus data, there are currently 222 A380s in service at 13 airlines, serving approximately 60 destinations.
